Typically, we conduct the research after the initial steps are completed. However, if you’d prefer to start with the research, we’re more than happy to accommodate that.

Renoir experts consider these paintings to be highly valuable. For liability and insurance purposes, it’s safer for the artwork to remain in your possession.

We assess the painting using:

  • High-resolution photographs
  • Live video feeds, such as Zoom meetings
  • Any art storage facility globally
  • In-person visits at your residence, office, bank, hotel, or any location you’re traveling to worldwide.

We conduct all necessary tests for authentication, including materials analysis, dating, specialized photography, and forensic studies. The specific tests required may vary depending on each case.

Typically, it takes a few days for a print. For paintings, the timeframe can range from a couple of weeks for straightforward cases to several months for more complex situations.

We do not charge for issuing a Certificate of Authenticity (COA). If the artwork is verified as authentic, we will automatically provide the COA.

We do not charge for answering many questions, providing advice, or giving value estimates, especially for select organizations and projects that we support. For other services, fees start at $300 for basic offerings.

Examination - We offer comprehensive art examination services at a location convenient to you, whether it be your residence, office, bank, attorney’s office, or art storage facility. If you’re traveling, we can meet you at your hotel, an art gallery, or an auctioneer. We also conduct examinations at government agency offices, customs ports of entry, law enforcement facilities, places of worship, organizations, associations, clubs, libraries, colleges, or museums, as well as at conservator studios or laboratories. For insurance and liability purposes, we do not receive or examine artworks at our own locations.
